Home Reading Coach: What is it?

Registration Night

Wednesday, Oct 7th from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in Gym 1

For all boys and girls basketball players grades 3-6

One of the biggest goals of the Goodhue Basketball Association is to try give students the most basketball for what is paid into the association. The fee for participation is an annual cost and will cover the cost of gym practice times, tournaments, insurance and jerseys for the year. It costs $10/hour to rent a gym, tournaments average about $175 for each tournament, and jerseys average about $50. The association will try to make this the lowest possible cost, but may vary from year to year depending on how the fundraising went for the associations. Jerseys will be purchased every other year unless a circumstance comes up.

During the GBA “Registration Night” parents will write two checks:

  1. Will be the fee for the year which includes gym time, tournament costs, insurance, and jerseys. The scale is given below. This fee is per child.

  2. A $20 volunteer check. The volunteer check is a check written out to the GBA that if one of the parents volunteer at a tournament or other event, they will get back. If a parent does not volunteer, the money is kept by the GBA for future costs. Documentation of this will be kept by the secretary and treasurer. If you have multiple athletes, you write one $20 check.

3rd Grade: $70.00 per child + $20 refundable volunteer fee

4th Grade: $70.00 per child + $20 refundable volunteer fee

5th Grade: $90.00 per child + $20 refundable volunteer fee
