Week of March 4, 2024
What an exciting celebration of reading in the month of February!
The Goodhue Education Foundation is gearing up for their biggest fundraiser of the year, the April auction. In the past, 2nd grade has put together a basket or two with a family game/movie night theme. If you would like to make a donation toward the themed basket(s) we will be looking for items fitting to a fun family night. Some suggestions are card or board games, puzzles, movies, popcorn & toppings, hot cocoa, candy, gift cards for Target/Walmart or pizza, and craft/STEM kits. Please feel free to add your own creative ideas as well!
Spring Scholastic book order due Tuesday, March 5th.

Notes for the Week of 2-26-24
Thursday the 29th is our last day of I Love to Read month. Please note that the last slip is for the dates of Feb. 22-29 and the goal for those 8 days is to read 210 minutes. Please have your child return their signed slips on Friday, March 1st for their last classroom reading prize and to be entered into the Friday drawing for a prize from Mr. Opsahl.
Friday March 1st will also be our BOOK SWAP day. Please continue to check your homes for books that you may no longer be using. For each book your child brings in they will receive a ticket to “shop” for new books at the swap on Friday. Books may be brought in Monday through Thursday of next week.
