Knowledge Bowl

What is KNOWLEDGE BOWL?

Knowledge Bowl competitions are teams of students working together in interdisciplinary academic competitions. They are designed for students in grades 7-9 and 9-12. Knowledge Bowl is part of the Southeast Service Cooperative Knowledge Bowl program.

The Junior High Knowledge Bowl practices and competes in the months of September - December.

The Senior High Knowledge Bowl teams practice and compete in the months of December -March with State competition in April.

Knowledge Bowl consists of a series of competitions that involve interdisciplinary academic contests designed for students in grades 7-12. During the contest, teams of students compete in written and oral rounds by answering questions related to all areas of learning, typically designed for secondary educational programs. Questions test students' recall, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. There are three round robin meets at the Service Cooperative building in Rochester and finish with sub-regional and regional competitions.
