G.O.A.L.S. Course At Goodhue High School
The G.O.A.L.S. course at Goodhue High School offers a unique opportunity for students to develop those skills necessary to be a productive citizen.
G.O.A.L.S. is an acronym for Gaining Opportunities at Life Skills. Students pick an area that interests them then they plan and complete a project related to that area.
Picking a project that has special meaning to the student gives them added incentive to do their best. The student is responsible for the entire project…beginning to end.
Through this experience students develop those life skills mentioned in the acronym…planning, time management, communication, problem-solving and wise use of resources.
Brett's G.O.A.L.S. project is a cattle feeder that he planned, cut, welded and painted.
Sharece's G.O.A.L.S. project is a plant stand. She learned to how to weld, use the metal bender and the ring roller to fabricate her plant stand.
