Thank you Veterans!

Goodhue National Honor Society Hosts Veterans for Veterans Day

A Veterans Day program was held at Goodhue High School on Monday, November 12, 2018, at 9:00 am in Gym #2. Leading the program were senior Monica Atkinson and junior Caitlin Peters. The Bellechester American Legion Post 598 presented the colors, the High School Band and Chamber Choir performed patriotic numbers, and the Kindergarten class recited the Pledge of Allegiance.  Sgt. David Klindworth spoke about his experiences while he was in the Marines from 2007-2011. He served 1 tour in Iraq and 1 tour in Afghanistan. Veterans in attendance were announced and recognized. Richard Raasch was the winner of the quilt made by The Third Place Quilters. Veterans and their families were treated to refreshments served by the National Honor Society following the program.

The Goodhue National Honor Society would like to thank all Veterans for their service to our country as well as the Bellechester American Legion Post 598 for presenting the colors for our program.
